What is Oxydolor 80mg ?

Oxydolor 80mg contains the active substance oxycodone hydrochloride, which is a strong painkiller from the opioid group. It is used in adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over to treat severe pain that can only be adequately managed with opioid painkillers.

Use Oxydolor with other medicines:

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken, or plan to take any other medicines. Concomitant use of Oxydolor and sedative medicines such as benzodiazepines or related drugs increases the risk of drowsiness, difficulty breathing (respiratory depression), coma, and may be life-threatening. Therefore, concomitant use should only be considered when other treatments are not possible.

Dosage

Oral. Dosage depends on pain intensity and individual patient response. Adults and adolescents 12 years and older . The usual starting dose for opioid-naive patients is 10 mg of oxycodone administered every 12 hours. Some patients may respond to a 5 mg starting dose, which reduces the incidence of side effects. Patients already taking opioids may begin treatment with higher doses, taking into account their previous experience with opioid therapy.
